Biography of Dr. Duane W Dike
Duane held several management/executive positions at the Walt Disney Company over the last 40 plus years. He successfully negotiated several agreements such as ones with Yamaha and Paiste for the company’s entertainment businesses. Internally, he set up relationships with thousands of entertainment employees ensuring them of trust and respect from their management. He was appreciated (and loved?) by thousands in the ranks over the years. Besides his Disney experiences, he worked for nearly four years at Rockwell International where he learned the intricacies of handling complicated business interactions. He also taught at California Baptist University for a number of years. Duane holds a bachelor’s in psychology, a bachelor’s in business/accounting, a master’s in business administration in management, and a doctorate in management and organizational leadership. Recently retired, he spends his time writing and volunteering for local charitable groups. Duane enjoys camping, traveling, and similar adventures. He has two kids, Carrie who is now officially Dr. Carolyn Dike from the University of Limerick, Ireland, in ethnomusicology and his son, John, an industrial and systems engineering graduate from the University of Southern California and is now a pilot for the United States Air Force. His wife, Laure, is a muti-talented choreographer/director and, more recently, an established Southern California quilter. |
